The Quick Summary
PokerStars is quite literally the biggest poker room in the world. The site has some great promotions including "PokerStars planets" which is a great SNG league system. For the cash game players they offer a 100% match up bonus up to 50$. The loyalty point system at PokerStars is extremely elaborate with rewards ranging from big prize money tournaments, to stress balls and chip sets. The poker room is welcoming to US players and has many satellites to large live poker events around the world including WSOP and LAPT. PokerStars has a great customer support system with questions being answered within 24hrs.

Traffic: Outstanding (9/10)
Being the largest online poker room, the traffic is always high. Whether you want to play NLHE, Omaha, Stud or even horse there is always a game running. They also offer large semi-deep stacked tournaments with guaranteed prize money such as the Sunday million. Buying for these tournaments range from 10c to over $1000 so there is a tournament for every player.

Player Ability: Good (7/10)
Finding a table on PokerStars is never hard, however this is not always a good thing. The site does not attract your average gambler as it is run purely for poker and not as a casino. This makes the competition on stars a little higher than that of Casino/Poker rooms. That being said this doesn't become a problem until you find yourself playing $1/$2 stakes and above. Tournaments tend not to see a big improvement in skill level until after $50 stakes. Tournament players in poker tend to be much softer than you cash game player, making the tournaments a very lucrative money maker.

Site Software: Outstanding (9/10)
The PokerStars software runs slick and fast even with the huge player traffic that the site receives. The software is very reliable; the data and statistics functions let a player to get information about many figures including flop percentage seen/raised.

Those of you that multi-table will be happy to hear that you play up to 8 tables at one time. The players have complete control of the software; being able to freely resize the tables and tile/cascade tables. You're even given the ability to choose custom theme for each table. The players can upload their own personal avatar to be shown at the seat they are sitting. There is also an option to block these player images and chat.

PokerStars has clocked onto the demand for video hand histories and has created its own very unique hand history re-player. The software is not 100% glitch-free but it works better and is more convenient, than anything else out there.

Customer Support: Excellent (8/10)
Although PokerStars do not offer a telephone support service, their email support is excellent. Players will receive a quick response from customer service representatives and if you highlight a problem they will try and solve it accordingly. The only issue is that responses are not immediate; however PokerStars manages to cut the cake the best poker-related customer services on the web!

Site Promotions: Average (6/10)
PokerStars currently offers a 100% first-time deposit bonus up to $50. To earn this bonus, players must play a certain amount of raked hands depending on the bonus amount. Compared to other poker rooms the bonus amount is small but great for a beginner player to get stuck into. Players that earn their money through the bonuses may want to stay clear of this bonus as it is not very lucrative.

PokerStars also offer a promotion for SNG players called "PokerStars planets", offering money to the top league winners at different buy-in levels.

PokerStars do not offer a rake-back system as of yet and therefore this can be very off putting for those who are looking to play full time on the cash tables.

Overall Rating: Outstanding (9/10)
PokerStars is the market leader in online poker tournaments and online ring games. The software is designed simple to use and caters for the more serious player. Some of the professional poker players who are sponsored by PokerStars include Chris Moneymaker, Greg Raymer, Joe Hachem, Isabelle Mercier, Daniel Negreanu, Humberto Brenes and William Chen.

Pros:
- Great and fast software
- Good Graphics
- Resizeable tables
- Lots of large guaranteed tournaments

Cons:
- No telephone support
- Small promotions
