My Introduction To Poker
My story began four years ago. I was introduced to poker by watching "World Series Of Poker" in the middle of 2005. I saw Phil Hellmuth, Greg Raymor, Mike Matusow, Allen Cunningham and Joe Hachem for the first time. By the way, Joe won the Main Event that year.
So, I was hooked.. Me and a couple of my friends decided to buy a poker chips to take a try. We went to the nearest board game shop and bought the cheapest chips on the market (Yea, I know, they look horrible :). Anyway, we started to play texas hold'em poker almost everywhere we could, six hours a day. The game was very addictive and fun. Among us we had a friend who already played high stakes poker on the internet. He was very successful, he was earning ~$15.000 per month.
Finally I gave myself a try too. I installed PokerStars client and asked him if he can transfer few bucks to my PokerStars account to try how online poker works.
My First Cash Game
When I first entered to a real cash game (0.01/0.02ct No Limit Holdem), I felt the power of poker. A lot of the players were very tight, they played very aggressive, they bluffed, used a lot of tricks. I saw them folding their hands before the flop, raising preflop, even going ALL IN without seeing a flop. I was like "WTF are they doing"? I was really impressed when I saw how they play.
My First Breakthrough
I watched them playing for a while, studied their hands and observed every move. After I felt ready, I limped in. At first it was hard to use to, but after a couple of hands, I slowly started to build my bankroll. Everything went fine, except the process was very slow (because of the micro stakes), so I decided to deposit my first $20 and play for a bigger stakes.
High Stakes Poker
To become a high stakes poker player it took me four years of intense play. Honestly, to reach this level wasn't so easy. First, you need to play a lot of hands, find your playing style, read books, watch tournaments, be in the community. It takes a lot of time and practice. Trust me, online poker is a lot different from home game. It's because of the money involved.
But it was worthed every second :)
So, that's my long story short. I started this project for the same reason - to give you guys the opportunity to feel what real poker is all about. Free no deposit poker cash is a great way to try poker room for free, learn how to play and of course to start building your bankroll. Good luck!
